production
& adding value
The processing required to produce HPQ depends on the amount and type of impurities present and may include crushing, screening, floatation, acid-washes using hydrofluoric acid (which is a waste product from a phosphoric acid plant), magnetic separation and/or other physical, chemical, and thermal techniques.
Lower the level of transitional elements and purer material is extracted from the ground and less processing is required to produce a valuable product. Processing of raw quartz into high purity quartz involves advanced comminution technology, physical, thermal, and chemical steps.
Comminution of the raw quartz releases mineral impurities and achieves the required product size. Further physical and chemical steps are needed to separate or dissolve these impurities.
Processing is energy intensive.
- our plant intends to draw much of its requirements from solar harvested generation
